Kitchen Rangehoods - Find - Review - Buy
If you're thinking of buying an extractor fan or rangehood to remove steam, grease and odour from your kitchen, consider these points:
- HOOD STYLE: Wall canopies, island canopies, tilterhoods, slideout or hidden extractor
- POWER: Extractor power is measured in cubic metres per hour (m3/hr) or litres per minute (l/min). Models start at 350 m3/hr to 1100 m3/hr.
- NOISE: Noise level is measures in decibels (dB). A lower number is best. Avoid flexible ducting to reduce noise levels.
- FEATURES: Lighting is another reason for installing a rangehood. Look for halogen as it renders colours well.
- CLEANING: Filters should be removable and washable. Charcoal filters in recirculating units must be replaced.
